Fredrick “Fred” Levy passed away January 6, 2019 at home in San Lorenzo, California at the age of 85. He was born March 31, 1933 in Washington to parents Etta and Fred Levy.
Fredrick worked as an aircraft inspector for the Alameda Naval Center for 30 years. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Good Sam club and enjoyed camping, playing Bingo at St. John’s, trips to Jackson Rancheria, going on cruises, and collecting cowboy novels. He was a devoted father and grandfather.
Fredrick is survived by his children, Cynthia (Thomas) Chapman and Sandy (Alan) Bachelder; grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher, Stephanie, Steven, David, Daniel, Adam and Tara; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Palma and their son Martin.
Visitation for Fredrick will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with services to follow at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest with honors at San Joaquin National Cemetery.
