Ann Philomena Faris entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California on October 28, 2019. She was 90 years old.

Born September 15, 1929 in Dublin, Ireland to parents Thomas and Margaret Guy, Ann worked as a crossguard supervisor for Alameda County for 32 years. She loved traveling, gardening, and her grandchildren, especially watching their baseball games.

Ann is survived by her children Colleen Lamb, Brian Faris, and Mark Faris (Michele); grandchildren Shawna Lamb, Derrick Lamb, Cameron Faris and Kyle Faris; and siblings Rita DiSalvo, Thomas Guy and George Guy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Stanley Faris, in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her siblings John Guy, Mary Martin, and Imelda Livingood.

Visitation for Ann will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with a vigil to begin at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Ann will be laid to rest with her late husband Stanley at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
